Our mission:
To bring professional theater to the community regardless of economic status, fostered by the belief that access to the arts is a human right.
Stephanie Faatz Murry- (Founder/ Executive Director) A native of Rochester, NY, Stephanie currently resides in Aspen, CO where she currently serves as the Co-Director of Education for Theatre Aspen. She founded NDSF in 2017 while on Faculty at the University of North Dakota and has been running the company for the past decade. She holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Arkansas and a B.F.A in Musical Theatre/Dance Minor from SUNY Fredonia. She also holds a certificate in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She has worked regionally throughout the United States and internationally at Gyeonggi English Village in Paju, South Korea. She is also a 200-hr certified Yoga Teacher. Aside from theatre, her greatest loves in life are her husband Matthew and their fur baby, Chuggie. She finds great joy in sharing her love of classical theatre with the people of North Dakota!
Veronica Lee Folkedahl- (Artistic Director) is beyond thrilled to step into her biggest role yet- Artistic Director! Veronica was raised right here in the Grand Forks area! Previous NDSF appearances have included Seyton (Macbeth), Phebe/Duke/Oliver (As You Like It), Lady Abbess/Etc.(Comedy of Errors), Peaseblossom/Hippolyta (Midsummer), Horatio/Gertrude (Hamlet), Ursula (Much Ado about Nothing), and Sampson/Apothecary (Romeo & Juliet). For our Grand Forks locals, you might have seen Veronica recently as Katherine (Taming of the Shrew: Unrehearsed), Pirelli (Sweeney Todd), or as Ado Annie (Oklahoma!). Veronica would like to extend a special thank you to Stephanie - the greatest friend, cheerleader, supporter, and inspiration you could ever hope for in your corner, without whom none of this would be possible.
